The Wisconsin Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired through its Statewide Outreach Services Department provides accessible textbooks and materials to support the education of school age students in Braille, large print, audio, and electronic formats. The goal of this Department is to assure that students with print disabilities have the right books at the right time in order to fully participate in the educational curriculum.
Participation in the AIM Consortium will enable this department to provide a coordinated system for the appropriate request, retrieval and dissemination of materials available through the NIMAC to eligible students. Other positive aspects of participation in the AIM Consortium is the opportunity to provide ongoing professional development, information management procedures, and updated equipment enabling staff to produce documents as efficiently as possible.
